ABOUT

Scott Stevens is a composer whose versatility stems from eclectic influences. His music is featured in multiple independent scores as well as ads for Toyota, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Red Bull, among others. Over the last three years he has scored and co-produced Sometimes I Shake in partnership with the award-winning producer and director Jared Callahan about the complicated life and death of jazz professor Dan Nelson.

Scott currently works in London where he recently scored Lines of Control: an interactive documentary about about Kashmir’s present-day humanitarian crisis, its history, and the very real geopolitical stakes. He has also assisted the talented British composer Murray Gold on multiple network series including but not limited to Magpie Murders and Gentleman Jack S2.

Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master’s degree in Global Music Composition from San Diego State University. After completing his graduate work in 2011, Scott was welcomed to the SCL’s film scoring mentorship in Los Angeles. This afforded opportunities to learn firsthand from Miriam Cutler, John Powell, Ron Jones and other scoring luminaries in private studios as well as scoring stages. At the program’s culmination Scott’s music was workshopped with Jeff Beal and SAG-AFTRA singers.
